The year that was

The year 2009 is fast coming to an end. Every year, at this time, I sit back with a feeling of relief and satisfaction that all Christmas orders have been completed, and I can finally relax with my family over the holiday period.

This being my last blog for the year, I started looking back on the past year, and it's all been quite interesting. My work has taken me to some interesting places. I've photographed weddings to a prime minister, race cars to acrobats and rock bands to kids portraits. And this is just here in Bathurst!

And lastly, I'd like to thank all my past and present clients for their support throughout this year, and I look forward to working with you all again in 2010.

The following are highlights that I've photographed over the past year.

Erin & Brendan Sellers wedding

Mudgee would be one of my favourite places to visit in the Central West. I love taking photographs there. I'm inspired by Mudgee's architecture and it's surrounding landscape. I always look forward to covering the next wedding that I have booked in Mudgee because of this.

And so, on the 5th December I was on the road to Mudgee to photograph the wedding of Erin & Brendan Sellers. They had a beautiful garden ceremony at Riverlea, about 15 kms outside of Mudgee. Amongst the garden, under the shade of a tree, Erin & Brendan exchanged their vows and were married.

After the ceremony, and some photographs, they then travelled back into town in style. Riding in two 1955, plus one 1957 Chevy Bel air, all painted identically, they turned a lot of heads when they arrived back into town and cruised down the main street.

We finished our photo session out the front of Mudgee's old cinema. With the cinema's old Art Deco tiles, the Chevy cars, the location for Erin & Brendan's wedding day photographs was perfect.

Here are just a few of my favourite shots from their day. Enjoy!
